2012 Nissan GT-R Spied With Updated Wheel Design
Edmunds has scooped a few new photos of the 2012 GT-R at Nurburgring again today. This time shes wearing even less camouflage than before so we can start to properly appreciate the new curves up front.
What’s most surprising and what they failed to comment on was the completely new wheel design. It’s long been predicted that Nissan will also need to refresh the wheel design to complete a facelift and it looks like they have. Not a huge departure from the original design which is a good thing because the original wheels were great. These are expected to be slightly lighter than the 2009 versions.

BBS LM-R Wheels for Nissan GT-R – More Photos from GTR-World
GTR-World got the scoop on some more glamorous shots of the new wheels from BBS. The LM-R in DBK color manufactured and sold in partnership with Hashimoto Corp in Japan. You can now get a feel for how they look posed properly on a GT-R. The red center caps looks great.
These classy wheels are performance oriented too, if you needed another excuse to put the credit card down they shave 0.5kg per front wheel and 1kg per rear wheel off your unsprung, rotational mass. A decent saving.

BBS LM-R Wheels for Nissan GT-R – Track Testing
You might remember this release from a few days ago, BBS will be partnering with Hashimoto Corp in Japan to release a limited number of sets of BBS LM-R wheels for the Nissan GT-R. The first set has now been photographed track testing at Okayama Circuit in Japan last week at an event held with the GT-R Owners Club.
Nice wheels, the color seen here is the only color available for now and is the Diamond Black (DBK).

BBS LM-R Wheels for Nissan GT-R Coming Soon
After much success with their classic LM design wheel which debuted in Japan in March 2008, we expect to see LM-R wheels become available for the Nissan GT-R in the near future.
In a partnership with Hashimoto Corporation, BBS will produce this limited edition 20″ wheel in the following sizes and offsets:
Type and Color | Size | Offset | Price |
BBS LM-R Front DBK-P | 20×9.5J | +40 | 196,350 yen |
BBS LM-R Rear DBK-P | 20x11J | +20 | 205,800 yen |
Each wheel set will come with red center caps with gold BBS logo and anti slip tire features. They’re also guaranteed to be compatible with the standard runflat tires and TPMS system. They’ll be available in just Diamond Black face colour with polished lip for now and they’re manufactured in forged aircraft quality (ACQ) aluminium.
No real photos of a set fitted up yet, just a bad photoshop on the press release, can’t wait to see them on as these wheels look amazing in the flesh.

Rays Volk Racing VR.G2 Wheels in GT-R Sizes Shipping Now
The awaited Nissan GT-R offset Volk Racing G2 are shipping now so you can finally get your hands on some if these look like they might be your style. These lightweight forged aluminium wheels, originally named after the legendary TE37, debuted at SEMA 2008 in the US and Tokyo AutoSalon 2009 in Japan and first appeared on the Mine’s GT-R. Since then they’ve been tweaked to look more aggressive on the GT-R and the tweaks are all for the better in my opinion.
The sizes seen here are 20x10J +30mm front and 20x11J +15mm rear. The same as those found as an option on the Zele Performance Complete Edition. Pickup a set through your favourite Rays Volk Racing wheels dealer.

BBS LM-ACQ Wheels: Silver on Black and White Photo Gallery
Regular readers have figured out by now that I’m a pretty big fan of the BBS LM-ACQ wheel in it’s various colours. We’ve been rambling on and on about them since BBS first announced them way back in 2008, over a year ago now. Doesn’t time fly!?
Well BBS USA got in on the act recently and has worked with BBS Japan to import BBS LM-ACQ wheels in Nissan GT-R sizes for US GT-R aficionados. GT Motoring has snagged a set in DSK (Diamond Silver) and fitted them to their Challenge brand GT-R to show them off. NAGTROC user Vic55 has also picked up a set for his White Ivory Pearl 2009 GT-R with a set of red center caps to match his red Brembos. Very stylish.
These two are perhaps the first Silver sets I’ve seen fitted up since all the Japanese ones so far were DBK (Diamond Black).
These are available for US owners now in limited numbers so get in before they’re all gone. Enjoy the photos below.

TAS09: BBS LM-ACQ New GT-R Colours
BBS’s plans to roll out two new colours for the Nissan GT-R was announced in late 2008 after the initial run of LM-DBK (Diamond Black) 20″ wheels sold out in a very short time. Only 100 sets of the Diamond Black colour BBS wheel were made.
The colours you see here are the new normal production run of BBS LM-ACQ wheels in the two new colours. Diamond Silver and Gold Face. These shown here are 20″ versions specifically for the Nissan GT-R.
These will be available in both Japan and the US this year and come in sizes 20×9.5″+40mm front and 20×10.5″+20mm rear. BBS Japan and BBS USA will have more price and availability information shortly.
