Willall Racing Launch GT-R Rear LSD Upgrade Kits
Here’s another good idea from Aussie workshop Willall Racing. Instead of ditching the entire rear LSD assembly for a fancy aftermarket job they’ve decided to beef the stock one up to the task. With the goal of making the OEM LSD good enough for circuit abuse they reckon they’ve achieved it with as little as their new WR35DS Rear LSD Super Lock Kit.
Given that the stock diff is a high quality, well machined 1.5 way item with solid steel assemblies to begin with – it made sense to at least have a look in this direction.
This series of hardened and heat treated differential shims is installed to adjust the pre-load on the factory diff to the owners liking. You can go from “mild” to “wild” depending on how many shims you use.
The end result is significantly more grip and an end to the inside wheel spinning during cornering. A good result for the price of just $395. Click the link below for more info…

OS Giken Extend Range of Rear LSD Upgrades for the Nissan GT-R
Some time back Sunline Racing worked together with well known Japanese manufacturer of all things clutch and LSD related, OS Giken, to come up with an improved rear LSD for the R35 GT-R. The result of this partnership was the OS Giken OS-TCD LSD. This flagship product is a easy to live with but high performance LSD in the OS Super Lock LSD range. It features unique oil control systems to ensure that all of the friction plates are kept lubricated all of the time. The result is a smooth performing LSD with extreme high performance capabilities which led Sunline Racing to shave seconds off their laptimes at the track.
The OS-TCD may be the ducks guts rear LSD but it comes at a price of 300,000 yen in Japan before tax.
OS Giken have now developed a less intense but still better-than-standard performing upgrade rear LSD for the GT-R known as the OS-NEO. The NEO is designed for daily driver GT-Rs who see some performance street driving and track days and are looking for a bit more predictable traction from the rear out of the turns without the interference of VDC. The NEO will set you back just 191,000 yen in Japan before tax.
OS Giken are also pegged to release a front LSD upgrade for the GT-R in coming months. This will compete with existing offerings from HKS Kansai.

HKS Kansai Front LSD Upgrades for Nissan GT-R
Two new LSDs for the Nissan GT-R in three total configurations have been released by tuning house HKS Kansai recently. The HKS Kansai front LSD Spec 1 and the Spec 2 are available to meet different applications of the Nissan GT-R and are both 1 way limited slip differentials. With a 1 way front LSD, effects are only felt under acceleration and the aim is to improve handling when in and exiting corners under acceleration. It also improves grip when accelerating in a straight line.
The HKS Kansai Front LSD Spec-1 is a street and light circuit oriented diff. It comes in two types depending on how agressive you want it. The specifications are as follows:
- Cam angle (accelerating/coasting): 35°/0° or 45°/0°
- Initial Torque: 5-6 kgf
- Friction Plates: 8 per side, 16 total
The HKS Kansai Front LSD Spec-2 is a competition oriented differential and comes only in one type. It also excels at getting you maximum traction off the line in high powered drag GT-Rs. The specifications are:
- Cam angle (accelerating/coasting): 55°/0°
- Initial Torque: 10-12 kgf
- Friction Plates: 8 per side, 16 total
Whether you want the mild street, light circuit or full competition spec front LSD, the price is the same at 205,800 yen. Contact your local HKS Kansai distributor for local pricing and availability.

Willall Racing WR35DC-F Front Differential Cooler
On the back of the release of the Willall Racing WR35DC rear differential cooler comes this complimentary cooler for the front differential also from Willall Racing. This compact cooler mounts behind the front grille and is supplied with the pump, brackets, hoses, fittings and wiring required to fit up. The cooler promises an increase in front diff component longevity by running the oil cooler and by increasing total oil volume up to 1.1 quarts.
Again the front diff cooler integrates seamlessly with Willall Racing’s cooling products – so if you already have the others there’s always room for one more!

Sunline Racing and OS Giken Rear LSD Upgrade
After considerable effort, Sunline Racing in partnership with OS Giken have created an upgraded LSD for the Nissan R35 GT-R. The upgraded rear LSD offers a considerable bump in rear end stability at the track.
To prove it Sunline Racing have been out at Okayama International Circuit with GT300 race driver Yasushi Kikuchi to see what it can do. During testing, Kikuchi-san managed to knock almost 2 full seconds off their previous best laptime of 1:42:00 to lap the 3.7km track in just 1:40:20.
The Sunline Racing OS Giken rear LSD is on sale now at the retail price of 320,000 yen.
