A wet old weekend it’s turning out to be at Fuji Speedway as the ninth and final round of SuperGT 2008 heats up. Qualifying is completed and at the end of the Super Lap battle the GT-Rs qualified in 2nd on the grid.

In the wet conditions the #24 WOODONE ADVAN Clarion GT-R was turning the fastest times but when the track dried up the #17 REAL NSX seized the oppurtunity to snatch pole on the grid. The next fastest Nissan was the #23 XANAVI Nismo GT-R in 9th on the grid.

With a sunshine predicted for tomorrow’s race it remains to seen who can pull it off. Nismo’s racing boss, Yoshitaka Iijima-san, is hopeful for a championship win but it’s going to need everything they’ve got to overcome the weight handicaps.
