Great weekend at the racetrack for Nissan fans as the #23 XANAVI NISMO GT-R qualifies in pole position for round 8 of the 2008 SuperGT series at Autopolis circuit in Kyushu Japan.

Second on the grid is the #3 ARTA NSX and third is the #32 EPSON NSX. NSXs being the favourite for the race it is a great omen to see the GT-R do so well in practice and qualifying.

The #23 GT-R did well in practice as well turning the fastest time in the second practice session. The #22 MOTUL AUTECH GT-R on the other hand was not having such luck after being disallowed into the superlap qualifier due to failing the technical inspection after practice.

The weather tomorrow is forecast to be fine and partly cloudy so expect dry conditions all day. Race starts at 2pm JST.
