Sunline Racing is being reported to have lapped Suzuka Circuit in a standard R35 GT-R in 2:22:280 which is amazingly fast. The GT-R was placed in circuit mode for the lap and was driven by “Tarzan” Yamada of Sunline Racing.

Suzuka Circuit

Yamada San went on the next day to set a laptime of 1:45 at TI Circuit Aida on the same worn tyres he drove Suzuka with. He was also said to comment that a 1:44 or 1:43 would be achievable with a stock 35 GT-R.
