As winter comes to an end in Japan the hanami (flower) viewing season begins with the blossoming of the sakura flowers all over the country. This is a busy time for domestic and foreign tourists alike who travel to parks and festivals to participate in this yearly ritual of rebirth and growth. It’s a good time of year to snap some great photos as well – but then again, in Japan so is winter time.
