Nissan MSRP Price Increase

September 6, 2008

Nissan announced a price increase of roughly 10% on it’s flagship supercar the Nissan GT-R on Friday. This brings the US price for the base model up from $69,850 to $76,480. Nissan tied this increase in price directly to the increase in cost to manufacture as raw material prices increase drastically world wide.

What this actually means to dealership prices is difficult to say just now since many GT-Rs are still being sold at “market value” which could mean anything from $5-20k above the MSRP.

Nissan have already sold over 600 of the 2400 allocation of GT-Rs in the US and they continue to be difficult to get your hands on unless prepared to pay big markups for it.
