Multiple model manufacturers in both the US and Japan have confirmed they have Nissan R35 GT-R 1/24th scale models due for release later this year and into 2009. In Japan first up we have probably the most well known scale model manufacturer Tamiya Japan releasing their first edition in June 2008 retailing at 4,200 yen ($42USD).

July 2008 brings us two more models from Aoshima (RRP 2940 yen, $30 USD) and Fujimi (RRP 2940 yen, $30 USD). Pre-orders are now being taken at any large model store around Japan.

Over in the USA, Maisto has a die cast Nissan GT-R model in the early stages of development and have been discussing it on their blog so check that one out too. It’s due for production next year.

All in all it shouldn’t be too long before everyone can afford a Nissan GT-R…
