HP Logic E85 and Cobb AccessPort Powered 10 Second Drag GT-R

February 19, 2010

Cobb AccessPORT ProTuners, HP Logic have been have been experimenting with E85 fuels on behalf of a customer with some great results lately. With some modifications to this GT-R’s fuel system the car ran an amazing 10.48 ET @ 133.21 mph at the drag strip.

Other than the fuel and exhaust system, the car was stock standard down to the turbos, actuators, wheels and even the heavy runflat tires.

With the E85 tune, this GT-R makes 573whp and 577ft-lb of torque as measured on a Mustang Dyno but of course, it does chew through the fuel to get there. It needs 950cc injectors and dual Walbro fuel pumps to supply enough of the go juice to make this power. The benefits are plenty though including great power and cooler burning which actually helps keep overall engine temps down.

The owner is running the car with it’s E85 tune and fuel again in the next few days and has now upgraded his wheels and tires so should be interesting to see how car he can push the combination of standard turbos and E85. Follow his progress in the NAGTROC thread below…
