Side by side comparison of the Nissan GTR’s 7.38 time attack of Germany’s Nurburgring.
Although poorly composed and in low quality you can see how quick the GTR is. The Pagani finishes in the 7.27 region but goes to show that other manufacturers are using the same start/stop points for timing around the ‘ring.

Catching Up: The Nismo GT500 Car Unveiled
Nissan’s Motorsports division Nismo has unveiled the all new GT500 car for the upcoming Japan Super GT season. Based on the new Nissan GTR this car was first seen lapping Suzuka circuit in order to gather data for the ongoing development process.
Yoshitaka Iijima, NISMO team director for SUPER GT, said: “The test went well without any problems. We obtained positive feedback on the car’s potential from the drivers. We are aware of the NISSAN GT-R popularity and racing heritage. We will make our best effort to win the championship next year.”

Update: Return of the blog
GTRBlog.com has returned from the dark. Due to unforseen difficulties I have moved to a new web host to continue this blog. Poor timing I know with the release of the GTR but it cannot be helped.
It has been a frantic few weeks with the GTR’s release, the Tokyo Motor Show, the unveiling of the Nismo Super GT GTR car.
Now let’s get back to the blog.
