TAS 2011: Axell Auto Producing Wide Body GT-R Kit for AutoSalon

December 28th, 2010

Axell Auto Wide Body GT-R

In what is becoming a tradition, January’s Tokyo Auto Salon will debut another wild wide body kit for the Nissan GT-R, this time from Axell Auto. After spending 2010 clothed in the Tommy Kaira Ebrezza-R full aero kit, Axell Auto decided to get even more extreme with the GT-R than their contemporaries have so far.

While it’s not completely finished yet, the concept drawings can give you a sneak peek at how they expect it to look when it debuts in January at Auto Salon. The guys at Axell look to have the proto kit in the finishing touch stages before assembly and paint judging from these workshop pics.

The kit will have pumped front fenders, rear fenders, a completely new front and rear bumper and chunky side skirts. The GT-R’s rear wing will be replaced with a taller stylized wing as well.

What else Axell Auto will do to the GT-R isn’t clear yet but we’re looking forward to seeing the finished product, even if it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Tokyo Auto Salon runs from the 14th to the 16th of January 2011 at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo Japan.

Why don’t they just stop copying Manga comics and build the GT-1 widebody ?! BTW: This one looks like a Celica…

Ok so that is a major mess up of the gtr. I am all about the coustom car aspect. But to take a car uch as the gtr and make it look like a massively under powered Celica gt-s is just wrong. I am a loooonnggg time lover of the GTR. And the rear end is yes some what overwhelming. but the only part of this kit that is any thing close to decent. I love this blog page and the info that I get from it. so keep up the good work.

I have to say I like to see a kit like that. There are not many real changing kits available up to now…

The kit is awesome … but i like it in the normal body 🙂

What the Fuck~ ??? so Fucking ugly~!!! I think normal body is better than this body~!!!

Hmm somehow i like the base-idea of the kit, but it has just too much details that destroy the nice base-lines. if you smoothen out and delete a lot of vents and details you probably would have a very nice kit. also i somehow like the idea to lenghten the front bumper with that front grille.. good idea – bad result :-S

Way too over the top in my opinion. Difficult to take seriously especially at the rear.

The cars looks great from front and back. the designer has done a good job and the work seems in the cars. one the favorite cars from my collection is maruti suzuki cervo and hyundai avante

The body kit looks very aggressive and sporty; adds an exotic and futuristic look to the gorgeous GT-R

Is it me or does the back of the Abflug (pic 9 from top) looks like the backend of a Audi R8?

  19. | #19

That’s a bit extreme, but I would have to see it in real life.
