One of the great things about the Nissan GT-R finally being available in the USA is the abundance of solid tuning experience available country wide. It’s safe to say that today, US tuners are all over the GT-R.

Road & Track Magazine have recently gotten to spend some quality time on the first proper performance test of the new Hennessey GTR600. They’ve performed a number of performance tests and managed to gather a good set of data points.

Along with that they’ve published up a full rundown of what exactly comes with the GTR600 kit and at what cost.

Recommend you check it out at the link below, some of these numbers are going to surprise a few people!

Are the turbos supposed to run at 21 psi? This sounds like an over price ticking time bomb and with Cobb tuning in Dallas why would anyone pay that much for an hks kit, accessport and tune from a guy that is known to rip people off.

Exactly, an accessport with the best all titanium turbo back exhaust and IC piping, turbo upgrade and tuning are no more then $12k. All Hennessey hardwares are cheap stainless steel. Hennessey was always a rip off and looks like it is continue to be.

Nice to know a BPU R35 can pull those # though!

The KW coilover and HRE wheels are not necessary, the HRE probably slow down the car too as I would imagine they are heavier then the stock wheels.

Indeed. The test data is the value of this article. Not the advertising for Hennessey which unfortunately is hand in hand with it.

Say what you will about the workshop but the car itself has proven itself to be potent with BPUs.

All Hennessey is doing, is their using HKS gt570 kit with a special cobb map -_- , get pictures of the engine bay you will realize it is the exact copy if the HKS. Hennessy are known to be thieves and liars.

lol, what a joke… it is already possible to make over 700awhp for less than $20k plus labor why would anybody spend $18 more for the Hennessey kit. Someone needs to tell them to stick to their POS redneck american cars.
