Trust Intercoolers for Nissan R35 GT-R

December 19th, 2008

Trust have a long history of quality intercooler kits that have been on the market for many years in Japan. The R35 GT-R has been on their radar since release and this week we get our first look at their latest product.

The Trust intercooler kit for Nissan R35 GT-R comes with twin replacement intercoolers that fit in the standard location but increase size and volume considerably. Each core is expanded to 100mm thick while stretching an inch in width and height.

Garage Saurus are one of the first tuners to get their hands on this hot product and are installing them now, expect results as early as next week.

Official pricing and release dates should be on hand any time now. Expect these at or before Tokyo AutoSalon 2009!

i wonder why they swapped these out for the ARC intercoolers they originaly had in there? these look a bit larger, but the arc’s look much cleaner. i admit the esprit single intercooler is not pritty, but no one has any data on the trust temps or arc temps.

I have had a chance to have a very good up close look at the GT-R nose, and its easier to screw up airflow though the front of the car, than make it right.

Saurus are in the business of selling parts to and modifying cars for their customers. I think a beefy Trust cooler setup at the right price will be an easier sell than the ARC coolers which look amazing but aren’t physically too much larger than standard items.

Still I would love to know if ARC plan a big cooler upgrade in the style of these Trust items or the Esprit horizontal core design.

    ARC quality is without equal.

Didn’t Trust file for bankruptcy not long ago?
Guess they’re still making new products.

Trust Japan did but they also have successfully re-orged and will emerge from bankruptcy shortly according to their press release.

Trust USA is still a question mark but they predict the same reorg success.
