SEMA 2008: Status Racing / Z Car Garage Nissan GT-R

November 4th, 2008

Z Car Garage was given an extremely tall order when they were handed the keys to this customer owned Nissan GT-R just a week ago. A truck load of parts supplied by GT-RR also arrived with the car and they were tasked with putting it all together ready for SEMA in a handful of days.

A few sleepless nights later, after what was a very smooth build, we have the Status Racing Z Car Garage built Nissan GT-R show car. Modifications include:

Exterior

  • Zele Carbon side skirts and rear underspoiler
  • Zele Carbon grille
  • MCR Carbon front lip spoiler
  • MCR Rear LED Side markers
  • OE Nissan JDM Clear front side markers
  • Premier Protection matte black vinyl over front lip
  • Premier Protection clear vinyls over carbon parts

Wheels/Suspension

Interior

  • Status Racing carbon fibre racing seats w/leather and alcantara trim
  • Black Alcantara headliner

Engine/Exhaust

this one got to be the sickest looking GTR by far.

I agree with IBDREX. This is one of the best, cleaneast GTR at sema. Nicely done!

Wow! I didn’t think the GTR could look THAT much better. Such a cool car but Z Car Garage really did an incredible job. Baddest GTR yet.

    damn that thing is slammmed!
But why on earth would put that flat black vinyl on the front lip? For protection okay but it looks horrible :/

The black overlay was put there because MCR/Bulletproof sent us a front splitter that was damaged beyond repair. We were able to save the build by placing the matte black vinyl over the lip and bumper section to cover the damage. We are extremely happy with the look and may carry it over into future modifications to the GT-R. Happy hunting.

i also agree this was the best GTR at sema. It was simple, clean, and the way I want my GTR to look. Great job guys….. it looks even better in person. I couldnt leave the booth… I was stunned. The black overlay on the front actually looks really nice.
