Confirmation of GT-R Speed Limiter Based on GPS

Multiple sources have now confirmed that the Japanese domestic model of the R35 GT-R is speed limited to 180km/h based on GPS information. Locations of known race tracks in Japan are programmed into the computer and when the car is sensed to be at one of these locations the speed limiter is removed.
We have word that several people are already working on disabling the speed limiter for the purposes of exporting the cars from Japan for race use. When we receive more information we will update you.
